On Thursday 12/6 at 12 pm, CIC-Smithsonian Fellow Margaret Kosmala will be leading a brown bag session in the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) Entomology Seminar Room on “Insect Community Change in Response to Warming in Tallgrass Prairie”

Margaret is studying a Midwest tallgrass prairie system to investigate the effects of warming on an insect and spider community. She has collected approximately 4,000 insects and spiders from 64 prairie plots and is spending a fellowship year at NMNH to identify these specimens.

If you’re a current Smithsonian badge holder, come hear more about Margaret’s work on Thursday 12/6 at noon!
