Cougars Take D.C.

The Smithsonian recently forged an agreement with the University of Houston (UH) to facilitate the placement of UH students at internships throughout the Smithsonian. More information about this partnership–the first of its kind with a college west of the Mississippi–can be found in a previous blog post.

The first cohort of interns, five Honors College students, traveled to D.C. at the end of their spring semester to spend three weeks at the Smithsonian. They took a few minutes away from their internships to reflect on their experiences, as captured in this video. You can also read more about the group here, in an article from UH’s student newspaper, The Daily Cougar.

Displaying their Cougar pride in the Smithsonian Castle are, from left to right, interns Ben Leuders, Jeffrey Hong, Madison Richard, Isme Correa, and Lenore Caston-Miller and University of Houston Research Liaison Officer Dr. Courtney Donica, who was able to visit with the interns during their stay in D.C.
