Smithsonian Latino Museum Studies Fellow Raquel Escobar

Raquel Escobar, currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, spent part of her summer at the National Museum of American History (NMAH) through the Smithsonian Latino Center (SLC) Latino Museum Studies Program.

During her time at the Smithsonian Raquel had a chance to study objects that represent the struggle for Latino and American Indian Civil Rights.
