Feathers in Different Weathers

Smithsonian National Zoological Park (NZP) Research Associate Dr. Emily Cohen recently teamed up with the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center as lead author on a paper about a new statistical tool that can give scientists more information about bird migration trends. The data this tool generates can be used to understand whether migratory populations spread out or remain close together during different seasons and will help scientists determine where conservation money might be best spent.

You can read more about Emily’s project in an article recently posted on the NZP blog here.
