University of California- Santa Barbara History Professor W. Patrick McCray has been awarded the Smithsonian Institution‘s Arthur Molella Distinguished Fellowship. He will be spending the 2018 to 2019 academic year researching at the Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation at the National Museum of American History (NMAH) for his project “Artists as Inventors, Inventors as Artists“.

Patrick recently had an article published about his new appointment in The Current, titled ‘Artists as Inventors’“.
