From Colorado to the Capital

In spring of 2016, Colorado State University (CSU) – Pueblo and the Smithsonian Institution signed a memorandum of understanding for CSU-Pueblo students to participate in a one-month internship program in Washington, D.C. each summer. CSU-Pueblo has sent 17 students total in the past three years.

Between Wednesday 5/30/2018 and Sunday 7/1/2018, the third cohort of students from CSU-Pueblo will be interning at the Smithsonian Institution. The six interns for the summer 2018 iteration of the program are Diana Rios Martinez, Spencer Little, Dawn Carver, Alyssa Vargas-Lopez, Hannah Higgs, and Michele Bedard. They will be interning at the National Museum of American History (NMAH), the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH), the National Portrait Gallery (NPG), the Horshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (HMSG), and the Office of Advancement (OA).
