Dr. Paul-Camilo Zalamea is a postdoctoral fellow with The Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama. Dr. Zalamea and STRI research associates Jim Dalling and Betsy Arnold were recently featured on the Eurasia Review for their research on seed survival strategies in tropical forests. Their research has helped to illuminate the strategies seeds use to survive underground and could have far reaching implications for future agricultural practices.
