Smithsonian Fellow Kasey Sease

Kasey Sease was recently awarded a five-month predoctoral fellowship at the Smithsonian Institution Archives (SIA) and the National Museum of American History¬†(NMAH). During her fellowship, Sease will work towards completing her dissertation, “Marketing Agencies for Science: Nonprofit Corporations, Public Science Education, and Capitalism in Modern America.” Her research will focus on how the early Smithsonian Institution was influenced by capitalism.
