Lycoming College Comes to Smithsonian

Posted on Jun 26, 2019 by in The OFI Blog |

Through a partnership between Lycoming College and the Smithsonian Institution, Archaeology student Diana Nemceff has been studying Thalattosaurs during her internship with the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH).

During Diana’s paleontology internship at NMNH, she has helped map the evolution of limbs of prehistoric lizards. Her study has helped to show how limb functionality of these creatures decreased over time due to their increased activities under water.
